The Three Stooges are returning to the screen with a new film that is being assembled by C3 Entertainment, Grand Peaks Entertainment and The Exchange.
Sean Hayes (Larry), Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) and Will Sasso (Curly) will reprise their roles as the wacky brothers who last hit the big screen in a 2012 film directed by the Farrelly Brothers. That film earned $55 million worldwide.
Cameron Fay, who wrote the upcoming Paramount film Brother in Laws, will pen the script, which is being envisioned as an action-comedy rather than a straight comedy. The producers are looking to add a major action star to to the cast.

This is old news, from way back in 2015, if I remember correctly.
I came here wondering if there are any updates.
In 2017, they were also planning to make a Three Little Stooges movie with the three parts cast. But I'm guessing that didn't happen either.
Both could still be happening, but there's no new word since then.
I remember reading about the first film happening 10 years before they finally made it. It was casted and recast. Jim Carrey was cast as Curley at one time and was planning on gaining a ton of weight.
I think Benicio Del Toro was going to play Moe.
Just kept never happening until it did.
