田中饰演鸟类学者相马日和，中谷饰演少数在野党党首凛子。在日和为观察野生鸟类出差而与世隔绝的10天里，凛子当选为日本史上第一位女首相，从此日和被妻子的部下监视，被媒体追逐，受到了全日本的热切关注。

42歲的相馬凜子（中谷美紀 飾）成為了日本的第一位女總理，她的丈夫相馬日和（田中圭 飾）是一位研究鳥類的學者。因為妻子成為了總理，相馬日和決定全力支撐妻子的事業。在總理妻子的部下監視下，他成為媒體追逐的對象，受到全日本的熱切關注，與最愛的妻子和寵溺的小鳥們一起度過不盡如人意的每一天 。

Hiyori (Kei Tanaka) is an ornithologist (expert on birds). His wife is Rinko (Miki Nakatani). She is the leader the minority opposition party. One morning, Hiyori is about to travel to an isolated island to watch birds on a 10 day trip. Before he leaves, Rinko asks him if she becomes the prime minister would he be inconvenienced. Hiyori then goes on his bird watching trip. During this time, he is completely isolated from the outside world. When he returns home, his wife Rinko is now the prime minister of the country. She is also the first ever female prime minister of Japan. Suddenly, Hiyori is now the first gentleman of the country. He decides to support his wife, but he finds himself caught up in unexpected circumstances.

Hiyori est un ornithologue. Sa femme, Rinko, est la chef du parti d'opposition minoritaire. Alors qu'Hiyori s’apprête à se rendre sur une île isolée pour observer les oiseaux pendant dix jours, Rinko lui demande s'il serait gêné si elle devenait Premier ministre. Soudain, Hiyori devient le premier gentleman du pays. Il décide de soutenir sa femme, mais il se retrouve pris dans des circonstances inattendues.

소수 야당의 당수를 맡고 있는 린코(나카타니 미키)를 아내로 둔 조류학자 소우마 히데카즈(다나카 케이). 만약 총리가 된다면 불편하지 않겠냐는 린코의 질문에 히다카즈는 크게 개의치 않고 들새 관찰 출장을 떠난다. 전파가 닿지 않는 외딴 섬에서 그가 열흘에 걸쳐 야생조류를 관찰하는 동안 린코는 일본 역사상 처음으로 여성 총리대신에 선출된다. 졸지에 총리의 남편이 돼버린 것에 당황해 하며 아내를 전신 전령으로 떠받치려는 히데카즈지만 부부의 사랑과 정을 시험받는 문제가 꼬리를 문다.
