Hi, there was a debate about this in the past and we decided that whenever possible we should go with the theatrical release date (in this case the earliest such date was in 2007). IMDB usually goes for the world premiere release date, meaning in this case the 2006 Sundance film festival screening. So sometimes there will be some small differences between us and them when it comes to release dates.
