The Sixth Sense, South Park and 10 Things I Hate About You? You really let your hair down this year, didn't you. 10 Things is probably my fave popcorn teen comedy. I prefer it to American Pie.
American Beauty (Are we still allowed to like this now? What with all Spacey's shenanigans.)
Fight Club
The Sixth Sense
Being John Malkovich
South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
10 Things I Hate About You
Go
Audition
Toy Story 2
Eyes Wide Shut
This was a great year for films. But a terrible one too. There seemed to be so many films out that there were loads of great ones as well as loads of awful ones.
I loved American Beauty for a long time, but I'll probably never be able to bring myself to watch it again now.
The Iron Giant (I'm not a big fan of 'animated' movies, love 'Anime' but mainstream not so much. But 'Iron Giant' is one of the few that I really liked)
I found Blast From the Past really fun as well. That film just seemed to have disappeared.
Yes, I enjoyed that back in the day but have heard little or nothing of it since! As you mentioned in your reply above, there were some fantastic mainstream American movies that year, as well as plenty of memorable international titles. One of those years from which there are ten to fifteen films I was sorry to leave out of my list.
I have never heard of The King of Masks and fell asleep during An Ideal Husband. I really should see the latter again as the cast and pedigree appeal very much.

The 90's was when I really started watching Asian films, 'The King of Masks' was just one of many that I liked.

In no particular order:
The Mummy (very entertaining movie)
Dogma
Blast from the Past (such a fun movie)
The Iron Giant (I'm not a big fan of 'animated' movies, love 'Anime' but mainstream not so much. But 'Iron Giant' is one of the few that I really liked)
An Ideal Husband
The King of Masks
Children of Heaven

Yeah, same here. There was a few years in the late 90s that I found hard to leave certain films out.
