Discuss Borat 2

Kazakhstan people tend to look Asian but none of them look Asian in these Borat movies?

Every single Kazakhstan person that I've met or seen in real life tends to look Asian or half Russian half Asian in appearance. But this movie Borat and the first one tend to depict Kazakhstan people as almost Middle Eastern for some reason? Why is that?

The only Kazakhstan person that I've seen who does not look Asian is a famous boxer name Gennady Golovkin aka GGG. He looks pretty much Russian and speaks Russian, even though I believe his mother is actually Korean. But he is probably the most famous Kazakhstan person in America that I can think of.

Maybe because Asians aren't attention whores.

LOL but that just seems incredibly inaccurate. I know its a parody and even offensive to Kazakhstan people these Borat movies, but thats like making a movie about the people of Sweden. But instead of casting people who look Swedish they cast everyone who looks Puerto Rican or something.

Why does it seem inaccurate? I've had a heII of a hard time finding Asians for films. When you're talking about extras, not featured talent with lines, I'd say it'd be very hard to find regular Asian people. And of course a bunch of Kazaks would be averse to being in a film that totally made fun of them.

Holy shat dude u are right. No real Kazak would wanna be in the film right? So maybe its almost like an agreement not to even cast anyone that even realistically looks like one?

You are a genius!

It's because Sasha Cohen, who plays the main character, is Jewish (and looks it)... So might as well cast anyone in the movie at that stage...

He doesn't care and he can't shoot in Kazakwahtever because they would kill him there.

Did you hear they took his (Borat) catchphrase and used it for their tourism slogan?
