倔强的女孩Kenza与父亲Ouira和祖父Weljo一起生活在库拉索岛乡下的一个汽车拆解场。两人是并不特别吸引人的对立面：Ouira是一个坚定而理性的警察，而Weljo则认同岛上的原始居民和精神信仰。当Weljo希望为自己去灵界做准备时，Ouira和Weljo之间的关系开始升级，11岁的Kenza在两个极端之间寻找自己的道路。Ouira的平易近人和回避的心态不再为她提供她所需要的一切，慢慢地，她向祖父更神秘和安慰的传统敞开了心扉。

Kenza (11) woont met haar vader Ouira, haar opa Weljo en zwerfhond Cajun in een huisje op een autosloperij op het platteland van Curaçao. De twee mannen in haar leven zijn elkaars botsende tegenpolen: haar vader is politieagent en een rationele man, terwijl haar opa zich het liefst in de spirituele wereld uit de geschiedenis van de eilanden begeeft. Kenza balanceert tussen deze twee werelden in, tot het verdriet over verlies van dierbaren haar ogen opent en ze zich openstelt voor de mystieke, troostende tradities van haar opa. Hierin moet ze haar eigen weg leren vinden.

Een meisje dat op Curaçao bij het autokerkhof van haar familie woont, moet kiezen tussen de opvattingen van haar rationele vader − een agent − en haar spirituele opa.

Headstrong girl Kenza lives with her father Ouira and grandfather Weljo on a car wrecking yard in the countryside of Curaçao. The two men are opposites that don't particularly attract: Ouira is a determined and rational police officer, while Weljo identifies with the original inhabitants and spirituality of the island. As Weljo wishes to prepare his passing to the world of spirits, the relationship between Ouira en Weljo starts to escalate and the eleven-year-old Kenza searches for her own path in-between the two extremes. The down-to-earth and avoidant mentality of Ouira no longer offers her all that she needs and slowly she opens up to the more mystical and comforting traditions of her grandfather.

Kenza, 11 ans, vit sur l’île de Curaçao avec son père et son grand-père, deux hommes que tout oppose. Entre modernité et respect des traditions spirituelles ancestrales, la jeune fille tente de faire le deuil de sa mère qu’elle n’a jamais connue et de trouver son propre chemin.

고집 센 소녀 켄자는 아버지 위라, 할아버지 웰조와 함께 퀴라소 섬의 시골 마을, 자동차 폐차장에 살고 있다. 위라는 단호한 성격의 이성적인 경찰인 반면, 웰조는 퀴라소 섬 원주민과 섬의 정령에 자신을 동일시한다. 웰조가 정령의 세계로 가는 죽음을 준비하고 싶어하자 위라와 웰조의 사이는 점차 악화되고, 11살 켄자는 이들 사이에서 자신만의 길을 찾기 위해 애쓴다. 켄자는 이제 아빠 위라가 보여주는 현실적이고 회피적인 성향에 만족하지 못하게 되고, 점점 신비롭지만 자신에게 위안을 주는 할아버지의 전통에 매력을 느끼게 된다. Poznajemy ją w momencie, kiedy stara się zrozumieć i odkryć to, co dla niej ważne. Kenza będzie musiała zdecydować, czy chce podążyć śladami racjonalnego taty, czy woli zwrócić się ku swoim korzeniom i duchowości?

A garota teimosa Kenza vive com seu pai Ouira e seu avô Weljo em um pátio de destroços de carros na zona rural de Curaçao. Os dois homens são opostos que não se atraem particularmente: Ouira é um policial determinado e racional, enquanto Weljo se identifica com os habitantes originais e espiritualidade da ilha. Enquanto Weljo deseja preparar sua passagem para o mundo dos espíritos, a relação entre Ouira en Weljo começa a aumentar e kenza de onze anos de idade busca seu próprio caminho entre os dois extremos. A mentalidade de ouira não lhe oferece mais tudo o que precisa e lentamente ela se abre para as tradições mais místicas e reconfortantes de seu avô.
