The prop department of Happy Gilmore donated the Nike sneakers that Kiel wore in the movie to our childcare centre. We put the shoes in the dress-up area and it was hilarious watching 6 and 7 year old kids walking around with these gigantic shoes on their feet.
@Dark_Sithlord That is so cool! He had a quite a career. I've seen him in reruns of various 60's shows like The Monkeys, Here Come The Brides, among other stuff (does anyone know if he ever appeared on Star Trek?).

I don't think Kiel ever did any Trek, but I bet he would have made a great Ruk in What are Little Girls Made of?

I just saw "Moonraker" and looked him up. I was sad to read about his death.

I just saw him in the pilot of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (for two seconds, but still).
