Fairly identical in plot to Van Damme's kickboxer, but then again most of these 90's martial arts movies have a fairly similar plot where the protagonist gets beaten up or somebody he knows gets beaten up or killed and that motivates the protagonist to start training and start dishing out punches and kicks. A decent movie all around and fairly easy to watch. Interesting trivia point: apparently the Street fighter 2 (game) character "Dee Jay" was inspired by Billy Blanks' character in this movie.
