is matt damon the new tom cruise?

they both have been great actors that seem to have shifted to only saving the world now. will he go back to actually playing oscar type roles or is he tom cruise 2.0?

Matt Damon isn't Tom Cruise 2.0.
He is in the film " Oppenheimer (2023)" and in the movie "Air (2023)", which are expected to get some Oscar nominations for the 96th Academy Awards in 2024.

Unfortunately this movie is kind of bad.
But Matt Damon is a very good actor. Very different than Tom Cruise who's a good actor as well.
