I am well aware that slaves did not enjoy many of the "luxuries" white folks enjoyed but this notion that black people couldn't ride horses is preposterous. There were A LOT of work to be done on horseback and you can bet your ass black folks was doing it. I think it was Tarantino just trying to be over dramatic to get the audience to go, "Damn! they couldn't even ride horses!" which is BS.

I’m sorry I didn’t realize the term “bet your ass” was considered ebonics. How out of touch am I. LOL

That was an honest grammar mistake. Hardly ebonics. I will give you an example of ebonics:

I think it had more to do with a black man riding a horse beside a white man in the street rather than in a field working or something, i assume it was rare at that time to see a black man riding a horse beside a white man as an equal

That may be true but someone traveling a ways with their slave/servant would undoubtely had him riding rather than walking if for anything that it would slow him down.

Would have been behind the person and more likely to be on a donkey or something, but i agree with your point

Or I was thinking that perhaps when they reach the town he would be instructed to walk the horse at that point.

As long as you have learned what ebonics really is, I'll take the risk.
