No. I had heard of it. Korea seem to make a lot of remakes of Japanese films. They remade Ring too.
Is it worth watching? I did have a huge John Woo obsession when I was younger.
It's not as good as the original but it was good enough for me to buy the Blu-Ray (it was a double package, has the 'plain' DVD too). Bonus features include an interview with Woo. Woo was the executive producer, so I figured that meant he approved? I think I'll give it a rewatch tonight.

Cool. I might give it a go. Korea have had truly excellent cinematic output over the last couple of decades.
I realise I implied above that the original A Better Tomorrow was Japanese. Which was pretty dopey of me. I meant Korea remake a lot of films from other Asian countries.
Aliens
the Fly
Big Trouble in Little China
Labyrinth
The Color of Money
Hannah and her Sisters
Ferris Bueller's
Blue Velvet
Stand by Me
Crocodile Dundee
Another time, and my list might look different. This is what I thought of at the moment.

I should love Highlander but I've never managed to finish it... Just one of those things!
