Did anyone else take Dame's side in this? [Possible spoilers in responses]

Throughout the movie, I thought Creed did Dame wrong and could have easily made it up to him from the start. Instead he listened to people who gave him bad advice, and told him it's not on him. I just kept thinking, yeah it was on him, and I couldn't blame Dame for being pissed.

Nah, they were kids, how can you lay it on him at that age. Also Dame was the one who pulled out a gun! But you're right, Creed could've nipped it in the bud right from the beginning.
TBH, the whole situation and his character was poorly written IMO. I mean, they make up at the end? Come on. What made Dame realise that it's all good between him and Creed, the fact he beat him using some of his moves??
Felt like this was the weakest of the Creeds, although the boxing scenes were great.
