The movie (and novel) in which Harry stops being a child and the narrative becomes a lot darker. The novel where Rowling finally puts everything in place for the remaining novels.
Thoroughly enjoyed both the movie and novel. One of my favourites. Love almost everything about the movie, except aunt Margot blowing up. That looked a bit amateurish compared to the rest of the movie.

I'm generally not a fan of the HP books or movies, though I've read the books and watched all the movies. They're entertaining enough, but not my bag. That said, I was also a big fan of the direction Cuaron took the franchise. He really did make a more mature movie than anyone before or after him. The scene with the ride on the phoenix was an amazing example of how to portray the wonder and exhilaration that a young person would feel if they were ever able to ride a fantasy beast like that.
