I'm a huge fan of Jeunet's early works up to Amélie. His 2 after that were ok, then I lost track. This one totally flew under and I just heard about it. I dunno, the trailer and the few clips on youtube didn't give me much confidence. And it doesn't help that it gets a severe thrashing on rottentomatoes (only +44% from critics). The consensus seems that it's full of Jeunet's quirky style but no real substance.

I don't have streaming, so my only way to watch it is buying an import blu-ray from China for about $12 bucks. Not a bank breaker, but I figured I'd ask opinions before wasting a lunch...
