Discuss Drive

Nice homage to Michael Mann's Thief. Love the 1980s vibe and the way this film was shot. So cinematic.

I loved how the movie started with night call and shots of downtown Los Ángeles at night, where I was actually watching the movie. It was like an interactive experience seeing a movie that was taking place around me.

The 80s inspired sound track, the way the whole scene plays out with little dialogue and minor set up, it's so good... sucks you right into the movie...

I liked that too... I think the film captures LA well... at least the fact that it's such a car oriented city...

Yes and no stuck in traffic cliche.

I got around to seeing this movie tonight and have to concur with all of you. The cinematography was brilliant. Soundtrack was perfect. I'd listened to the songs before I watched, so it was interesting to see when each of them played. The juxtapositioning of the Driver and Irene when "Under Your Spell" came on was especially clever. I can see why this film is a bit of a cult classic.
