Misleading.....???

When i saw the trailer i expected something far different to what the actual movie was! I guess my expectations for a good horror movie was too high.....cos this movie led me into an entirely different angle. Not to say it was a bad movie......it was "an ok" movie. But the twist was spoiled at the beginning which didnt help to keep the suspense going. Over-all, it was a misleading trailer which promised much more horror than what we got in the end :(

I guess that's the dilemma of creating a trailer for horror or mystery flicks. Either it gives away the plot, which is usually the case, or it tries to avoid that and some people like you complain about the trailer being misleading. I have solved that by simply not watching any trailer for horror or mystery movies I want to watch, but instead just relying on rating score to determine whether a movie is worth the watch. Or, if you like to gamble and have some spare time to kill, don't even see the rating or read any review.
