The film is divided into two distinct stories with the same setting: the back-stage of the Moscow Operetta theater with the Can-Can metaphor which is a high-energy and physically demanding dance. Human relationships, betrayals, and the relationship between parents and children are the same common denominator found in the two parts of the film.

Elena Zaitseva, célèbre cantatrice russe de l’Opéretta Theater de Moscou, et son mari Serge, entrepreneur, ont une maison à Perros-Guirec. Au cours d’une discussion avec son fils Dimitri, 20 ans, ils se remémorent à Moscou en flashback ce jour où lors d’une croisière vers les 7 îles, Serge disparaît dans l’île aux moines et rentre tard, mystérieusement blessé....

Фильм разделен на две отдельные истории с одинаковым сеттингом: закулисная сцена Московского театра оперетты с метафорой Can-Can, которая представляет собой энергичный и требовательный к физическим нагрузкам танец. Человеческие отношения, предательства и отношения между родителями и детьми - это тот же общий знаменатель, который присутствует в двух частях фильма.
