Discuss The Matrix

A few years back there was talk of this. One great thing about the IMDB forums, the pure fucking hate when this was even discussed got it shut down immediately. Ironic the forums close then they try to talk about a relaunch again. I was live on Twitter at the time and the amount of pure fucking hate and resentment about even touching The Matrix was truly inspiring. No one, never, ever, ever, should reboot/remake/retouch/etc certain fucking films. The list of shit they shouldn't touch goes something like: The Matrix Scarface Rocky Rambo The Godfather

Feel free to add more to that list. But for fucks sake, stop remaking shit. Pay my accommodation for a year and I'll give you a script a month that are guaranteed fucking blockbusters.

Do NOT EVER touch the fucking matrix you scum bags.

The wachowski siblings already trashed the Matrix with their action-packed, soap-opera sequels... So much so that the idea of "rebooting" (pun intended) the matrix even fits within their convoluted and over-explained concept of these movies...

I'd say give it to Michael Bay... It's probably time we saw the matrix shot with a long lens, spinning around us with parallax militarised mrs smiths, neos and adolescent trinities shooting bullets at one another, while greasy hipsters gyrate to the rhythm of the latest euro dj's ipadpro music...

"Give it to Micahel Bay" hahahahaha

"dolescent trinities shooting bullets at one another, while greasy hipsters gyrate to the rhythm of the latest euro dj's ipadpro music" HAHAHHAHAHAHHA Man, you even managed to squeeze the word gyrate in there. Awesome!

Honestly though, I think The Matrix Reloaded (second one) stands out as one of the best action movies ever made. It has incredibly awesome moments in it. I can say, quite honestly, I love the action in the second one as much as I do the first. The story and everything else about it I enjoy too. It could have less "talking in the base" though. I think most people write off the second film with the third because it's easier for them that way. But honestly, for me, the second one is just as good as the first, well nearly.

I'd love to know what you think of the movie Pi.

haha.. thanks... I actually do think the second matrix had some very good action, but it kinda spoiled the mystery and philosophical beauty of the first movie for me... i remember having a lot of discussions with friends about the first one, not at all with the second one...

Can you imagine the outrage that hardcore matrix fans would feel if Bay was chosen to make a reboot? I almost want them to announce something like that simply to see the reactions!

Haven't seen Pi yet, has been on my watchlist for a while... I should get around to it as some point...

hahaha, oh man, it's almost like that Pulp Fiction dialogue about keying the car. "It'd be worth them announcing a Michael Bay reboot, just so we could be there to catch them doing it!"

I pick up what you're saying though about the conversations. A few years back, I had a conversation with some younger people. They were like oh Inception this and Inception that. I was like yeah Inception is cool and all, but the Matrix, man the Matrix. They'd never seen it. Blew me away. A week later they were like, "Whoa, dude! The Matrix kicked Inception's ass!"

Definitely get round to Pi mate ;-)
