I only saw this film after knowing Ho killed 15,000 landlords in North Vietnam in a land reform in the 1950's. It explains what America was later doing in the 60's and early 70's stopping NV from taking South Vietnam and doing the same thing to their landlords as well (to get land). See my other postings!

It doesn't explain what America was later doing in the 60s and early 70s stopping NV at all.
There's a well-documented other side to the story that is inconvenient to western colonialism narratives but is, no less, historically factual, and would present a more balanced understanding of the complexity of the history.

Very different film minus the knowledge.
