Who knew that Mississippi even had a school reading list?

But if the Guardian is reporting on that, then this must mean that

  • England is having second thoughts about opening up their Oxford College branch campus in Mississippi, right?

So then let's look at the P/C bright sides....

  • Animal Rights groups need to be happy to save a few Mockingbirds from slaughter.

  • Environmental groups ought to be happy to save a few extra trees from pulp mills.

  • Hollywood has to be happy that they're watching the movie instead of reading the book.

  • Fake Network news agencies have to be really happy to have more human disinterest fodder to spin back and forth, and

  • Mississippi kids have to be happy to have one less burden to carry back and forth to school provided that there still are any schools left around these days.

I think that they are making a huge mistake. I wonder what they will replace it with.
