Discuss Silent Hill

It's a good (not great) movie that didn't stray too far from its source material, a crime all too many other videogame movies commit.

Agreed, this was a true homage to Silent Hill..in fact, this is a case where it flipped the script & inspired later games (the sirens & everything deteriorating). LEAGUES better then Resident Evil...which should've remained in the hands of George A. Romero.

I liked the first 3 Resident Evil films.

4 was bad but the 3D was good and the mid credit scene with Jill Valentine and her scarab was great.

5 was crap but had a great cliffhanger... A great cliffhanger that 6 ignored!!!

6 was awful.

They weren't BAD movies and definitely have their moments..just not true to the source game the way Silent Hill is!

Best homage by far. I can´t dislike this film considering that Gans spent 5 years to get the rights to make a movie of it. The mood and scenery is spot on, the eerie-ness of the characters and the habitants of the Silent Hill is brilliant. If there is one thing that it fails on, then its the ending.
