Discuss Spenser Confidential

Yeah, when that dreaded "N" logo pops up at the beginning of a movie unexpected I can't help but to think "what kind of a crapfest is this one going to be then". After watching it, though, it's pretty decent all around. Not great, but something like a 6 or 6.5/10. Story isn't exactly original, but it's all quite competently done and has some decent comedy parts too.

I have to give it props just for giving Wahlberg a white female love interest as much as I don't like Iliza Shlesinger. And also for not making all of the villains straight white males. Although it could be argued that there aren't that many POC in Boston and they shouldn't have cast so many in this movie to begin with. Why not more Boston natives? It doesn't feel like Boston.

The ending when the Widow was smiling seemed like going too far. Her husband's name was cleared but he was still dead. But I'll still watch Spenser Confidential 2 when it comes out.

Boston is:

Black: 25.1%

Hispanic: 20%

Asian: 10%

There are more people of color than people who are white in Boston.

Are you sure those numbers don't reflect the student population? I was talking about people who are native to that area.

These are recent numbers.

That wasn't what I asked. The problem with those numbers is that it doesn't take into account that a significant number of POC are there only as college students and/or immigrants and thus wouldn't qualify as being from Boston. 29% of Boston is foreign-born with most of those being POC according to boston.gov.

Where do you think the original Bostonians came from? Do you think that they just sprouted from the ground? This country was founded by immigrants, even the Indians came from somewhere else! Damn, sometimes I am just amazed by how many stupid things you say here (TMDB). Maybe you should find a site that is more suited to your thought patterns. Maybe you could try 'drumpfs' site 'truth social', you should find plenty of people there that will agree with you.
