as to how 5 mins of air lasted 35mins, namely that:

i) being in near freezing conditions and the body going into shutdown, oxygen consumption was reduced ii) the high purity of the oxygen was absorbed on the body, allowing some kind of slow release or absorption of oxygen

I think the film would have been enhanced by having an expert in the field try to offer explanations. The entire film was very matter of fact (mercifully) so I dont think it would have undermined it.

Fairly small quibbles with a good documentary that really pulled off realism to the extent I struggled to identify what footage was real and what was recreated.
