Discuss Gretel & Hansel

I personally found it boring to watch.......! I do like slow-paced storylines but this just didnt excite me at all. I know he original fairytale pretty well but had no idea what i watched once the movie ended. Just plain confused.........

WTF was that.....????

Yet another brazenly cynical stab by Tinseltown at appearing woke. Title your movie "Gretel and Hansel" rather than...well, the story's usual title, and make Gret a few years older than Hansel. Prospects of earning your stripes with the Girl-Power crowd(folk who assiduously avoid any discussion on the order of: "Empowerment....what the hell does that even mean anymore?")are doubly increased, if you write the boy as a caricature straight out of the mind of Adam Sandler, and the girl as wise and talented beyond all comprehension. A chick version of the sort of male action heroes lampooned by movies like In Like Flynn and TV shows like Sledgehammer, in other words

I dont care abt the girl-power and empowerment and what not...............i just didnt get the movie. The witch is old or young? Did dhe kill her own daughter or what? Where did al those other children come from? If they disappeared then why was nobody searching for them? How did nobody find the house of the witch? Why did Gretel stay back? did she become a witch too? Where did she send Hansel off on the horse?????? Aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrgghhh !!!!

I found the visuals and score to be very intriguing. They were trying to mix a classic fairy tale with an 80s style horror feel similar to It Follows and Mandy. Unfortunately, the story was very dull.

6/10. It was worth a one time watch.
