Overview

本片故事設定在1990年，改編自《吉屋出租》創作者的自傳性劇作。夢想為劇場譜曲的Jon在紐約當餐廳服務生，希望自己正在努力的音樂劇作品能夠石破天驚，讓他一舉成名，但女友Susan卻逐漸失去耐性，不想再為了Jon的夢想犧牲自己的人生。另一方面，好友兼室友Michael決定放棄以創意為生，找到在麥迪遜大道的高薪廣告業工作後，準備搬離和Jon分租的住處；眼見30歲生日在即，Jon感到無比焦慮，不知夢想還值不值得追下去。
