Because if how freaky the trailer was. Plus Cats is a show of limited interest to non fans. The name brand celebrity casting turns me off. Reviews also point out the weird sexual nature and problems with perspective. Broadway type stuff does not do well at the box office. Did I mention the freaky trailer? Who asked for this anyways ?

No idea what was wrong with the trailer. Looked like CATS to me. No idea what’s wrong with the movie. It looked like CATS to me.

Critics were saying crap like “ OHH THESE CATS ARE TOO HORNY”. Sayyy what??? Some weed would make this movie lots of fun, but seeing hornyness in the cats??? And problems with perspective??? You mean where they were saying the scale ratios changed and cats got bigger and smaller?? I didnt notice. What drugs are these clowns doing?? MUSHROOMS???

Guess these people just dont like CATS? A bunch of singing and dancing neko furries who have banded together in some sort of cat suicide cult!

That works for me!! And if you ignore the doomsday cult aspect, I would think there would be a ton of eight year old girls and their moms who would like this. As well as just fans of musicals.

The critics and their minions nuked this thing. Knives out has been playing for two months and even THAT is beating CATS at the box office. Btw, Knives Out is totally overrated and underwritten and only held together by its cast. What??? Did I like CATS better than KNIVES OUT?. Furr sure.

I totally understand if somebody says that it's not their sort of show. And I can understand if _having seen _it they didn't like it, with the operative concept of "not like" . But the sheer venom of people (especially Star Wars fanboys) I beyond me.

In a similar vein, it seems people are hating on Little Women. Now this is not my sort of show. But if I had tween girls in my life, you bet I'd take them.

I dont think you saw it either. The audience I saw it with applauded. I didnt do any clapping myself, but I thought it was ok. To state it was " garbage" is suspect. Especially from somebody with Vandal in their title who gets upset by the term " STARWARS FANBOY". I saw STARWARS rise of Skywalker the other night and thought it was OK. But I would watch CATS again on bluray on next years Christmas eve or something. Rise of Skywalker?? Probly not.

I feel that Cats is best experienced live on stage. It loses some intimacy when presented with CGI.
