I remember when this came out and being so disappointed with it and thinking it was by far the worst Terminator movie ever made. Boy, times have surely changed since then and they've made two Terminator movies after Salvation and each one somehow managed to set the bar lower than its' predecessor with Terminator Dark Fate probably being one of the worst movies to be made in whatever year it came out.

Anyways, I always felt that having two of these hollywood studs play the good guy in the same movie was a terrible idea. Can't have more than one rooster in the hen house so to speak. Somehow they got Christian Bale to "star" in this and yet it's almost like he is some kind of a supporting actor. Imagine if they had just used the good old formula and had the movie centered around John Connor with some new (or old) Terminator hunting him through the movie. I mean they'd still need a decent script, but I doubt it could've been any worse than this movie. Having Sam Worthington play some kind of a good guy terminator was not the only issue though. They did a really crappy job with pretty much the entire casting and the movie is filled with pointless filler roles like Common, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood etc. None of them have anything significant to do in the entire movie and all of those roles could've been left out of the movie and it wouldn't have mattered one bit.
