The Blues Brothers 토론

I ran out of gas. I… I had a flat tire. I didn’t have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn’t come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! It wasn’t my fault, I swear to God

"How often does the train go by?” “So often that you won’t even notice it

"F*ck this noise, man!"

Elwood: What kind of music do you usually have here?

Claire: Oh, we got both kinds. We got country and western.

My favourite line may actually be the one where there's no line at all: After the buiding is blown up the guys just get up and continue their day as usual relaxed

Exactly! They basically have the same reaction to being blown up in the phone booth. "Hey, Jake. Gotta be at least seven dollars worth of change here."

We're on a mission from God!

Don't you blaspheme in here! Don't you blaspheme in here! This is my man, this is my restaurant, and you two are just gonna walk right out that door without your dry white toast, without your four fried chickens, and without Matt 'Guitar' Murphy!

I still use that line to this day. Just used it on Saturday. Got caught up in a family squabble argument between my brother and sister. Looked at them both, then said it....Ha ha

We’ll talk to Bob.

I'm not sure if this is right, but when the Good Ol' Boy threatened Jake saying something like, You're gonna look silly eating corn on the cob with no teeth.

Very close! I just saw this today, so my memory was refreshed: "You're going to look pretty funny trying to eat corn on the cob with no f*****g TEETH!"

"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."

"I've always loved you."

“I’ve been exploited all my life.”

Another clever non-line of dialogue was in Re's restaurant, right after she and the counter girls performed "Think." Her character's husband has left her to return to Jake & Elwood's band, and the saxophonist (who also works in the joint) is looking at her like, What should I do? She says something to him like, "Well, go, dammit," and dude just cuts out of there. Re's character didn't have a very good day that day. Ha haaaaa hah.
