Lyon, mars 1943, Raymond Samuel (Aubrac, dans la clandestinité) et Lucie, sa femme, sont engagés dans la résistance. Le 21 juin, Raymond est arrêté, en même temps que Jean Moulin. La passion amoureuse de Lucie la pousse à tout tenter, à tout entreprendre, pour arracher son mari des griffes de la Gestapo.
