Über DOOM: Die Vernichtung diskutieren

That's what this movie seems like. You got a squad of marines with a surprisingly high, but socially quite acceptable female quotient of three diverse marinettes(?). Of course there is the mandatory loudmouth bro who has issues with the lieutenant woman, and I didn't get to the end yet, but I'm sure he'll get his comeuppance when some monster ruins his day and pushes his sh*t in, and he doesn't even live to see the moment when Ms. LT kills the monsters and shows everyone that women are just as capable as men.

On a more serious note, why don't movies like this respect the source material at all. It's been a while since I've played some of the Doom games, but I'm pretty sure none of them had three chicks running around a moon base shooting monsters. I mean I understand they can't just make a movie of some bro running around shooting things from a first person view for 90 minutes, but you'd think a scriptwriter could come up with something better than this. It does have the occasional reference to Doom games and some other ID games like Wolfenstein, but that's about all it has to do with the game.

😳 WFT? Did you even watch it? Sure it wasn't great, but it's not anything like you've said. The Marines consisted of girls and guys, and both genders die in basically random times. I never got the sense of a Charlies Angels team. As for the bro who has issues with the lieutenant, everyone had issues with the lieutenant. It was a major plot point from the start. I'm assuming you've only watched a trailer because of how little you know about the story. I swear anti-SJWs like you are worse than the SJWs they are against because they're always trying to pull bullshit like this. 😫

Sooo......you are saying there weren't three marinettes running around the base going pew-pew-pew? You are saying this has something to do with the whole Doom lore? I'm not exactly sure what your point of contention is, but if you think this movie had something to do with Doom apart from the various little references, which I referred to, than you sound like you neither watched it or have no clue what Doom is. The whole point was that the movie doesn't respect the source material at all.

p.s. I suggest you relax a little and re-read what I wrote. Pay attention to the part where I mention the references to Wolfenstein etc. Is that something you can pick up from the trailer?

It wasn't only 3 girls, it was 3 girls and a bunch of guys. One of those girls died pretty quick. The other died a little later, and between all of them the guys died as well. What part of that sounds like Charlies Angels to you? I'm am very familiar with Doom, and I'm not saying it followed it (hell the only Sarge in it died pretty quick as well in this), but at least they had hell gates this time instead of the genetic mutations in the Dwayne Johnson Doom movie. So no you did not watch the movie.

Oh, so it's the 'charlies angels' quip you took offense to. For a guy called 'innovator' you sure seem to take things literally. I specifically said in very first message that there was a squad of marines and the three women were only a part of it. The whole point of the message and previous message, which seems to still elude you is that the movie doesn't really respect the source material at all. The little references here and there etc. don't really change that and seems like you just wanted to let out some "anti-anti-sjw" tirade, but I imagine there are more productive places for doing that.

By the way you mention the genetic mutations in the Rock Doom movie, but seem to forget that the very opening of this movie basically starts with a similar premise where the scientist bro walks in the teleporter and comes out a zombie/genetic mutation lunatic. That's also another part where this movie has quite little to do with Doom: the enemies from the games are pretty much all but missing from this movie.

By the way, I actually found this to be a better movie than the previous doom and rated this 6/10 and rated the previous one 5/10 on the other movie site and found it very mediocre, but that doesn't change the fact that this movie has very little to do with Doom.

And if you're read everything I've said from the beginning, I said I didn't really like the movie either. I was only objecting to the Charlies Angels quip (or practically every event you posted on your op), which is completely incorrect/misleading and makes you appear like you didn't watch the movie at all. Besides do you know what other movie has women among space marines fighting monsters? Aliens and Starship Troopers.
