It must have been quite a dizzying experience. I watched the thing on an aeroplane and even on that, hardly the ideal format, found the climbing sequences hard to watch... even knowing that Alex remains alive and kicking, the climactic sequence detailing his epic free climb of El Cap is a nail biting few minutes of cinema.

One earlier moment involving a small but sudden (roped) fall made me exclaim out loud, rather humiliating on a busy flight.

An excellent film about a fascinating subject, but a rare case of a movie on a huge visual scale which I am rather glad I did not get to see on the biggest screen possible!
