Steven Spielberg's directorial style really lends well to musicals, I'm surprised he hasn't done more. I enjoyed this film though have some criticisms, like the (order of) song choices felt somewhat strange and inappropriate at times and that Ansel Elgort's performance was...well...stiff, however the scenes and camera angles were always dynamic and on point. It was beautiful to watch.
