I'm a huge fan. Have you read the book? Quite a different perspective from the film but great also. Yes, I'm an IMDB refugee

No I haven't read the book. That might be a good thread to start. Would you mind doing that?

I'd much rather talk about the film myself! So, how many times have you seen it?

I've watched it 3 time over the years. I still get chills every time the Native American patient breaks the glass. Nicholson is amazing.

Someone in another thread mentioned the film's page here did not have any discussions yet, so I felt I needed to remedy that. The boards are so new that many of the older films have not been posted too. But once someone does it seems like things take off because the thread ends up in the Movie list. I like that it does.

Yeah, I think it'll take time to really get these boards going but the site's worth it I think

I will need to watch it again as I missed some scenes but Jack Nic's so amazing when ah SPOILERS lol well that scene when they had him, was watching it with my mouth open like woah!

Excellent movie with an outstanding cast. As someone who's been there, I have yet to see a more accurate depiction of what it's like in a mental ward. Have known a couple of "Nurse Ratched" types as well and Louise Fletcher totally nailed the character.

Huge fan of the movie. Probably seen it 10-15 times over the years. Read the book in high school after having seen the movie. A few differences. Most notably, the book is told from Chief Brombden's perspective.

SPOILER

Yeah talk about the feeling of dread.

... this is a movie that will stay with you forever even if watched once.

You can say that again. I saw it in the 70s. I was so gut-shot by it that I have only watched it a couple of times since. Not because it's not a major classic and pretty darned flawless, but because it's hard to watch!
