What Do Gay People Think Of This Movie???

As a heterosexual man, who is a friend/ally to the LGBTQ community with a ton of gay friends, I wonder how the gay community feels about this movie?

First off I'm a big fan of Jim Parsons, I LOVE The Big Bang Theory, and Young Sheldon also has its moments but mostly the connection or nostalgia going back to TBBT. I actually enjoyed the first half of this movie as I found it to be interesting, compelling and some good funny moments. But I found myself not really liking the second half, final act or I guess the ending so much.

First off why the name Spoiler Alert? There was no BIG major spoiler at all in this movie right? I mean the trailer even tells you the whole damn movie right? I think its pretty much a given Parson's partner will die after they meet, fall in love etc. right?

I also was rooting for Parsons as again I'm a huge fan of him in TBBT and YS but I think what I really wanted to see was his range and him be nothing like Sheldon, but unfortunately by the middle of the movie I found myself seeing him acting as Sheldon from about the middle part on. The scene where Kit finds out he has stage 4 cancer and goes to the other room to cry seemed so real and honest where as Jim just looking away onto the next room seemed like Sheldon almost not knowing how to show emotion or the correct emotion in that scene. Why the hell did he make the same Sheldon face instead of showing a face of sadness, fear, anger anything else but the Sheldon face of not knowing how to read other's emotions???

Going back to the subject of this topic, how do gay people feel about this movie? I thought it was odd or I even did not like how Parsons(Michael) asks Kit on his dying bed did he sleep with his co-worker back when he was suspecting that he was and once he admits he was Parsons(Michael) was almost relieved to hear that he was right instead of feeling furious or angry that his partner was cheating on him all along??? Also instead of anything he could of asked Kit on his dying bed like did you really love me? Or something more meaningful he asked him that question?

One of my gay friends explained to me that in the gay community sleeping around is not that big of deal or drama. Like WHAT??? This can't be true for anyone straight or gay in a serious committed relationship right? I mean WTF would be the point of even being in a serious committed relationship if you are banging your co-workers or in the case of this movie Kit was banging some guy from his gym as well right? He even comes clean about it to Michael and again Michael doesn't trip out about it? It's almost like Michael prefers he just be honest instead of being faithful and lying about being faithful???? I don't know???

But yea I guess Jim Parsons is not all that great of an actor and doesn't have a wide range of acting ability outside of playing someone like Sheldon, and again this is coming from a guy who's a BIG Jim Parsons/TBBT fan.
