forgive my english, I'm using the translator. Finally i saw the movie. I have a lot to say but I risk giving spoilers. I can speak as a fan of the video game, as a person of a certain age, and I have to say that it was adapted in the best possible way. For those who have no affinity with the "lore" of the games, I recommend that you inform yourself in advance (even if at risk of spoilers, it's worth it). otherwise the risk is of making sterile and useless criticisms (see most critics). I absolutely don't want to raise controversy, but for those who question the "level" of the production, I remind you that on your "infallible" review aggregators, there are productions at much lower levels that have had "more than sufficient" ratings and sometimes even " excellent" not at all deserved, for strictly "subjective" reasons of the critics, who despite all this continue to profess to be absolutely "objective", in order to sell better to those gullible followers. Forgive me for the polemical tone, but I absolutely had to say it. my personal rating for the film is a 7.5, but for the moment it will remain between 8 and 9, to counter the criticisms.

I mean that Blumhouse films are often criticized for being low-budget horror with little artistic value. those who support these ideas are the snobs and intellectual bullies of the internet. they exist in every field, and they are one of the worst plagues on the web. This film was made with a lot of feeling, and mainly for us fans. I'm sorry to see it criticized, even though they worked hard to create it, so that we could appreciate it. Personally I have seen films at very poor levels, with which the critics were much more magnanimous. my general advice is to avoid review aggregators, if you don't already do so. they are made primarily for snobs and trolls. I don't see anything serious about it. The critics' reviews are nonsenseless. we should all boycott them. But as long as the hateful snobs exist, it won't be possible.
