"An embryo raised to a child by a Mother robot isn’t something you see every day..."
All life on Earth is eradicated after an extinct event, except for one human survior, a girl, Daughter, living in a post-apocalyptic bunker, protected against the radiation on Earth's surface. She is raised by an android, Mother, whose purpose seems to be to repopulate the planet with the aid of human embryos.
Then everything changes when Daughter finds a wounded stranger, another human, Woman. Together they escape from the bunker and Daughter discovers the shocking truth.
An intriguing movie that in the end may leave you with more questions than answers about an AI's vision of the ideal humanity.

The plot is similar. While this movie takes place on Earth, the television series is on the planet Kepler-22b. Both have android parents who are raising human children.

What an asinine premise for a movie (I saw it months ago). They must repopulate the Earth with the same beings who ruined the Earth?
