Pretty good film; if people like Clint Eastwood in films more appropriate to his age (such as Gran Torino), they'll probably like this movie.

Anyhow, a former coworker of mine sort of lived this life for awhile. He's now in his 60s, gray-haired, a bit pudgy and a grandfather; you'd never guess he ran drugs until his late 40s. He said his secret to never getting caught was that he was white, wore glasses, didn't have tattoos, dressed conservatively, never had a particularly threatening physique, and was never flashy.

Blew past the cops every time with a car full of drugs, while watching others get pulled over and arrested. He finally got popped for DUI (alcohol) around 48 and decided to turn his life around, leaving the drug-running life behind; but he was never caught for the drugs.

Just goes to show that someone who appears to be an "upstanding citizen" may be anything but.

Incidentally, he said that when he was selling drugs, his best three clients were a doctor, a lawyer, and an insurance agent . . . people many would've never suspected of partaking in the cocaine.
