I guess everyone's entitled to their opinions

She reminded me so much of Michelle Pfeiffer in this, I had to check the cast list to make sure it wasn't her.

I'm with you, it wasn't an OUTSTANDING performance, but she was hate-able!

Oh word? I have a friend who saw it tell me it was great and the main actress was really good. He tends to have different taste then I do in some modern films though.

I wasn't interested in the film, because I'm such a huge fan of The Shining. I felt like it would butcher the mythology of that, but I don't know. Maybe I will give it a try later down the road.

I found her extremely OTT- and I'm not a fan of the Shining film, though I do like the book, and I didn't mean the DS book either

Didn't like it much at all. The plot seemed dumb, I never thought the soul vampires were all that menacing, and I found the little girl to be way too over powerful at times. It was a 2019 movie for sure. Some of the lines and dialogue were cheesy and just bad to me. A lot of it just didn't make sense as a person who grew up watching Kubrick's film and being scared out of my wits by it.

Yep. I mean at least she tries but still. Rose could have been so much more but alas a second rate performance from Ferguson is all we got.
