I can't see any translated title in english?

@CormacJones: I think you can help speeding up the process by providing links (not IMDb) showing there is an official English speaking release. If there is no English release, there can't be a translated English field. But I assume all the titles you have reported do have an English release using the original title. I'm busy with other stuff so can't really dive into these.

This was not the best example since the original title was incorrectly added. I fixed it and now the translated title is not needed.

What?! Argh. Respectfully, I don't think you understand what's going on here, lineker. Dealing with this site is so aggravating. I long recognize an inconsistency on this website with foreign titles and capitalization, and I finally decide to poke my head up and ask about it. I get an OK from a moderator, put a little time in to try to make the site better, and two other moderators come and erase my efforts, citing policies that are by no means discernible from practices elsewhere on the site such that if they were to be put in place a majority of data would have to be revised. How is this place managed?

Les dames du Bois de Boulogne (1945) is a French film with a French title. I assume the Original Title field should reflect that the same way a Russian film should have its title in Cyrillic and not transliterated. Anyway... the French don't capitalize titles beyond the first word unless there are proper nouns involved. Looking around TMDb, this mostly seems to be the practice. It is a rule that my mind, as a hopeful contributor, can conform to. Bois de Boulogne is a park in Paris; it is a proper noun and gets capitalized. Dames should not be capitalized in the Original Title field. But now you're saying that's incorrect? Well, shoot then. Do you want me to start showing you all the times French, Italian, Spanish titles (etc.) get capitalized according to their native style so that you can conform them all to English practices?

Or does it not seem appropriate to reserve the Original Title field for the most authentic representation of how the film is natively labeled, with proper alphabet and capitalization style? And to use the Translated Title (English) field -- which is what will be used by Letterboxd to identify movies -- to show how the film is presented to English-speaking audiences, adopting English capitalization style if the original foreign title is used?
