Didn't they cut him because they had major transportation problems because of the pandemic? Hell, they pretty much cut all of Darcy's scenes they had planned because she got caught in a lock down. So she only appeared for a really short time at the final episode as they had to shoot what they could of her in another studio. A lot of the changes they made in the final episode was apparently all because of issues caused by the pandemic. I'm not sure how woke that is supposed to be?

Previously, Feige confirmed Strange was cut because he was white and would help Wanda with her newfound powers. He made those claims as part of a Rolling Stone piece from back in May.

Feige stated, “Some people might say, ‘Oh, it would’ve been so cool to see Doctor Strange.’ But it would have taken away from Wanda.”

“We didn’t want the end of the show to be commoditized to go to the next movie – here’s the white guy, ‘Let me show you how power works,’” Feige then elaborated, “I haven’t talked about this before, but we had a deal with Benedict [Cumberbatch] to pop up at the end of WandaVision, or somewhere in WandaVision.”

He detailed, “Because we knew we wanted to connect them [Wanda’s next appearance is in the second Dr. Strange movie, next year’s Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness], and wouldn’t it be great. But as we worked on the show, and on the movie, we realized there was no reason to really do that.” “We didn’t want the end of the show to be commoditized to go to the next movie – here’s the white guy, ‘Let me show you how power works,’” he added.

So the answer is no. It had nothing to do with the pandemic. They just didnt want to take away from Wanda and link them together...you know something almost all the Marvel movies have done since the fucking beginning.

In which the next movie he's going to be a white guy who's basically "let me show you how powers work"? I'm sure that's all that posturing is just justification after the fact and afterthought, in that they couldn't get him to a studio to shoot therefore after they talk about it, decided it was probably for the best anyway. There's a lot of things that didn't make much sense production wise in the final episode, unless you account for pandemic issues. Darcy's micro cameo shot in another studio in the finale showed there were definitely pandemic issues.

Ok I dont understand what you dont get here...Im literally quoting what the head of Marvel said as to why they didnt have him in the show. They could have shot his cameo in a studio in the UK and had him in the show. It wasnt because of the pandemic. Stop making things up. This isnt hearsay, Feige literally told us why he wasnt in it. I dont know what more proof you need. Does it make sense to not have them linked together since they will be together in the new film? No it dosent. But Marvel dosent make sense anymore either.

And Matt Shakman, the series show runner, also talked about how they had to make changes because of regulations due to the pandemic..saying that just because they were mostly shooting in studios doesn't mean they weren't hit hard by it.

Ok, and what Im telling you is that those changes, due to covid, had nothing to do with the decision to remove Strange from the series. The Strange cameo cut was done to push an agenda. Its written in black and white. If covid didnt exist they still would have cut his cameo. Im sure covid had an affect on production, but not when it comes to this aspect of it. Pretty cut and dry.

“The lawsuit is especially sad and distressing in its callous disregard for the horrific and prolonged global effects of the COVID-19 pandemic”....like they give a fuck about people during Covid. They fired a bunch of employees while giving themselves bonuses.

Right? That statement is total BS.

They dont care about anyone but themselves

Yep, bang on.

and their woke agenda.

You lost me - but you were doing sooo well!

Woke agenda part = boundingintocomics Ill sum it up for you. "Feige pretty much confirmed it. He made it very clear they set out to race and gender swap the majority of the cast before they had even began searching for a director! Not only that, but it shows where Marvel Studios and Feige’s priorities are. He clearly states the reason for the film being moved to the top of their list of films to make is purely because they could swap the characters’ races, genders, and sexualities." So they fast tracked the film for a woke agenda. And another point is WandaVision. They cut Dr Strange from appearing because they didnt want a 'white male' to show her how to use her powers. Again, woke agenda part.

So, if a movie centres on white males, all good; if a movie centres on others, it's gotta be some agenda?

Besides, seems to me, if they're committed to being woke, they wouldn't be trying to screw Johansson out of a bigger payday, because she's a woman.

I remember Disney's original title for The Princess and the Frog was The Princess Frog. The feedback from test audiences prompted them to change it - had they been committed to some "woke agenda" as you call it, they wouldn't have been going in the direction in which they were going.

If Disney is on some woke agenda, they're not very good at it.

It was 'The Frog Princess' not The Princess Frog.

And thanks to you SHMUCKS who bought it on Disney+, ya cheated Scarlett Johansson out of her box office percentage money!!! Now she's suing! I hope you guys are proud! PROUD, I tell ya! laughing

haha I'm in Canada so had no choice theaters were all closed but had to watch it to be able to critique it like I said at least it wasn't as bad as Captain Marvel.

$30 flat is a deal for, say, a group of six people who want to hang out, make it a movie night, be able to yell at the screen without an avalanche of "shshshshsh" from all the other strangers in a threatre, eat lots of food that doesn't require your car as a down payment, and allows pausing for washroom breaks.

Shucks, add in the travel costs saved in not driving/parking or taking transit/uber to the theatre, and it's a deal for two people.

AND, it's not as though they only released on streaming and forced anyone to have to pay to see it - the theatrical release still happened, those who wish to go to a theatre to see it still can. I'm not seeing the fail here.

But, you could have done this math yourself, so there must be some other point to this post that I'm missing.

I live in Central FL, I can go to a theater less then 15 minutes away on a Tuesday for $5 with a $7 Large Popcorn! You must be in a Mega City if you gotta add in Transit/Uber/Parking Fees...that's on you! wink

You and three friends @ $12 ea. = $48.

Sure, I go to the movie theatre by myself, but not usually.

You?

TYPICALLY with my 2 teenagers, so I'm still at $15 + $7 = $22 and a dollar or two for gas! ANYWAY, what does that s*t matter?! I won't bother seeing this sh*show anyway!

Ok, so, FOR YOU, $30 is steep, fine, go see it in the theatre, it makes sense for you, and those like you. Disney is smart to provide distribution across its audience preferences.

But, guess what? There are all kinds of people out there who are different than you; for those who have more people in their group than you would, $30 to watch at home makes sense. This isn't a question of preference, we're talking simple arithmetic here, and the numbers don't lie.

ANYWAY, what does that s*t matter?! I won't bother seeing this sh*show anyway!

Again, good FOR YOU, but that's irrelevant to the original question - and the original question was not who was going to see it; the question was, who was going to spend $30 to see it via streaming on Disney+.

PS. I'm impressed you can buy one large popcorn for yourself AND two teenagers. I assume most people in larger groups are going to be springing for popcorn and/or other munchies individually. The folks with whom I go these days all get their own natchos and drinks and popcorn - for them, that's part of the fun.

No, we're all adults. But, when you add it all up, our total group outlay blows past $30, and that would be the case for a decent portion of the audience, sufficient that releasing on both platforms, and at that price point, isn't crazy. So, we the audience have reasonable choices, we can opt for that choice that best suits our viewing and budgetary needs - and that's a good thing. Disney doesn't always do things right (and it's becoming increasingly evident that doing the right thing is difficult for them), so, when they do, give'em credit.

Disney doesn't always do things right

Truer words haven't been spoken! Before covid they were single handedly trying to take over the entertainment world! Now they do wrong by their actors, running their theme parks poorly (since covid), and doing wrong by Pixar....them, their films, their parks and their streamer can go f**k itself for all I care! They never get a dirty, sticky, brown a$$ penny from me!

I hear you, and support you. Seriously. I'm no Disney fan myself. They've been making filthy, obscene profits for almost 100 years, they can well afford to treat people right.

That wasn't what your original question was about, though, which is all I was speaking to.

All good. Cheers.
