Why do you think this film resonates with the USA and Americans so much?

If you go on social media everyone is hailing it as a master piece and these are mostly Americans praising it. Is it because we Americans can identify with this capitalistic hierarchy and society first hand? Is it because of who is currently our President and how he is also for the most part a charlatan, reality show star who has no clue what he's doing but somehow gets away with everything?

Because it has cool storytelling, easy to follow and mostly dumbed down for american audiences. Just look at the montage of how they got rid of the housekeeper, masterfully made for dummies.

Right,

Man that twist on the second half really shocked me. I'm kind of glad I didnt know anything about the movie had I did, it probably would have not impressed me or moved me as much as it did.

Yeah, without mentioning many spoilers, when they were sitting at the table I saw it going ONE way, then the doorbell rang and it went in a COMPLETELY unexpected direction! I'm also glad I didn't read many reviews nor watch the trailer prior to watching the film yesterday! Loved it!

REALLY? WOW Id love to hear your thoughts and how you thought it was going to go when they were sitting at the table? Maybe we'll have to put a spoiler warning in your answer for those who've not seen it yet?

You been warned!

When the family was sitting at the living room table, talking about "which room would you want?" and "if we owned this house"...I thought for SURE they were going to try to assume the family's identities..maybe start "offing" them in creative ways (the way they got rid of the established help..except more sinister).

Keep in mind I read ZERO spoilers & didn't even watch the trailer prior to watching it, so had NO idea what I was in for.

WOW thats a good point. For I thought nothing of that and that they were just going to eventually get caught after only living the good life for such a small amount of time.

When the "established help" you mentioned rang the door bell I was like WTF? and it just went down a path I had no idea to even think of, which only gave me the major loop hole of cameras. A house that nice and modern should have cameras and systems where you can see all corners of the house from your smart phone when you are away from the house right?

So the fact that this sweet pimp crib had no cameras at all enabled all kinds of craziness to occur just right under their noses.
