...to use such system? Natural life expectancy was much longer, so it is really murder, so I can't figure out how would majority of people allow something which benefits only very small minority? You can be poor without money, but it's not like you are dying within minutes or days, you can alwaysfind some food at least, there are charities, etc.
Also are we supposed to believe that society which can stop aging will have people working in factories instead of robots? Heck it seemed less automated than nowadays and we don't have such antiaging technology yet.
Btw. the model car crash was ridiculous, it looked like from some parody, they should better cut it out.

It's just one of those sci-fi premises you shouldn't think too much about.

I think it was just a way for people at the top of society to control the masses... We're seeing the results, the system as it exists, we don't know how it was implemented; if it was done through incentives, or through coercion and force...
