Discuss Χόμπιτ: Ένα Αναπάντεχο Ταξίδι

When Peter Jackson decided to spend 20 minutes (TWENTY MINUTES) at the unplanned and uninvited dinner at Bilbo Baggins' house, the film lost me. Peter Jackson should have added a scene smelling his own self-indulgent farts.

you didnt realise that in the first three torturous movies?

The dinner scene doesn't make the list of annoyances I have with this film, and I have a few. I'm not sure why it would bother someone so as to be such a dealbreaker as you imply, it goes by fast and helps set up the characters. It has tints of camp where I think it was trying to be whimsical but I just don't see how it's that big of a deal.

This bit was probably my favourite part of the film. It captured exactly how I imagined it when I read it in the book when I was wee. And it added some variety to all of the walking and fighting monsters. Of the issues throughout this trilogy, I definitely didn't feel this was one of them.
