Discuss The Guilty

I feel every film fan would love this. It's only a few beats short of a masterpiece. As someone who watches films obsessively, it's pretty rare for me to discover films which catch me totally by surprise. Anyone have any other recommendations for left field, little known wonders of this sort? If you've not seen this - watch it!

Pretty much all of that. I thought it was an absolutely great character study of a what a real 'maverick' police officer is all about (having worked with a few). Drive and determination mixed with an unwillingness to accept the confines of their role and screwing things up because they think they are above procedure. It really ticked a lot of boxes and had a great central performance that even the excellent Jake Gyllenhall will struggle to match in the re-make.

A cut above the stylistically similar Locke and Buried with nice attention to detail right up to the last shot and the end credits. Don't wait on the remake, watch this.

I have added this to my queue.

Yeah, it was pretty good. I do like these films that manage to tell a story with just one person in one location.

Just finished watching this.

Although I wish I hadn't read the wiki article about it.

Ugh, yeah. I read literally nothing about a film before I watch it. At least it wasn't my post that spoilt it. Glad you enjoyed.

Normally I don't mind spoilers but this time it kind of ruined it for me. Although there is still the last phone call he made as he left the office?
