Zoufalý majitel ve snaze vyrovnat pohledávky zaměstnanců uspořádá tombolu, z níž si Laurel odnese bleší cirkus a Hardy cvičenou gorilu. Problém je, že opice odmítá arogantního pánička poslouchat a platí na ní jenom dobrák Stan. Trojice se vydává do města, pronásledovaná uprchlým lvem. Blíží se noc a bývalí cirkusáci by se rádi ubytovali v hotelu. Jak ale dostat opici až na pokoj?
