I saw "Pork Pie" last year when I'd seen all the top rated movies on the Premium cable channels. "Pork Pie" was in the late night/early morning slot and turned out to be more interesting than most Hollyweird blockbusters. ("Pork Pie" is a Kiwi film, of course.) The trailer for "Better Start Running" left me with no expectations, so when the sleazy "BuyAll" manager went through the glass, I wondered what kind of surprises were ahead. Like the Kiwi film, the longer I watched, the more interesting the characters and story became. It's not an Oscar-level film, but it will remind you that the clerk at the local "Walmart" has their own backstory.
