I am a WW2 history buff, so I've been trying to start a WW2 movie collection as well. I found Never So Few about 3 years ago as part of of a multi-pack at Big Lots! and thought, "why not?"
So, I watched it and fell instantly in love with it. I can't really explain why I love it, but it's got a wonderful combination of things going for it: Frank Sinatra, the gorgeous locations, great score, one of Steve McQueen's first major roles, the chance to see Peter Lawford get pushed out of an airplane, an early cameo for George Takei, Gina Lollobrigida and her gorgeous wardrobe. It may be a movie that is not well known, but I'm glad that I am one of the people who do.
