Discuss 47 Meters Down: Uncaged

This was a horrible production.
I saw it in RedBox and knew it didn't look great but I had some discounts that expired and got this along with two other movies... paid $1 for one and got two free. So, I don't feel so bad. I knew it was a gamble and it was so much worse than I could have ever imagined it could be.
Stupid Plot. Horrible Acting. Two hot girls, two ok-looking girls... They go cave diving which was unplanned, but they seem to have had several changes of bikinis and stuff. It was weird.
Lots of plots holes and continuity errors throughout.
Apparently, the people who made this just have no clue about "how the ocean works": currents, etc... vertical tunnel with hurricane force swirling water, but not along the walls... yeah, that makes sense... and little side tunnels that connect to it have no pressure or current at all, not even right at the point where they connect to the massive current... it makes no sense at all... it is so bad. Digital scuba tank air gauges with just a one giant number, the percentage of air left... not even close to being realistic. Check them out if you don't know how these work or what information they all display. This was incredibly stupid. :)

Haha, yeah it was pretty bad. The ending was ridiculous. I kind of dug the music though, the organ stuff, that kind of held the movie together. Some interesting shots as well but overall an incredibly weak picture.

You definitely don't want to watch Underwater.

A bunch of college age girls go diving in an isolated area and explore an underwater cave with...wait for it...GWS. How original. Lmfao. When the Aussie guy in the sub lured the sharks into the...Oh wait. That was a different film. Sorry. I get that this was a horror film and yeah getting trapped in a cave with sharks would be a horrible thing but come on. The filmmakers could have done better. I can't recall if there was any references to the first one or not. No it wasn't because I had enjoyed a couple of Victoria Bitters either. Oh and before I forget this film reminded me of Frenzy.

There was no reference to the first one and the ending, like another poster mentioned, was absolutely ridiculous. It was never ending...in slow motion. Plus all the other unrealistic elements as mentioned by the OP.

The only others things I can say is that the underwater Mayan cave system setting was interesting and John Corbett clearly had his Samuel L Jackson Deep Blue Sea moment.

The last 12 minutes or so were hilarious.
