I kinda don’t get why they are rebooting this franchise when Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are still out there and conceivably able to star in another MIB film? I’m not against spinoffs or reboots, but I feel like with this particular property a new film would be much more successful with the original leads.

Maybe, but a box office flop/disappointment to the studio. Its almost the "black sheep" of Disney's animated movies and goes largely ignored (along with Treasure Planet)
