Discuss Joker

An absolute beauty of a movie is this!!! Phoenix is just amazing and plays the role to perfection. However....i have a couple of questions.

  1. Was his mother actually crazy or was she made crazy by Thomas Wayne cos in her Arkham reports we see the word 'lobotomy'. So did she actually have a baby with Wayne n he covered it up with the lobotomy n getting her to sign the false papers?
  2. Depending on the answer to Q1......that makes Joker the half brother of Batman????????
  3. Did he kill his neighbor ?
  4. Whose blood was on his shoes at the end?
  5. What was the joke he thought of at the end when he said "you wouldnt get it anyway" ???
  6. WAS THE ENTIRE MOVIE JUST MADE UP IN HIS HEAD?

ABSOLUTELY FREAKING LOVED THIS VERSION OF THE JOKER !!!!!

1-3 & 6 - You can decide for yourself. The film was entirely ambiguous on all points!

4 - Really didn't like those footprints. Far too clean. Presumably his psychiatrist's but why just the soles of his feet? No blood at all elsewhere... Was it even meant to be really there?

5 - Make up your own answer. Maybe because he realised he'd killed his mother because of his father's lies, which in turn had resulted in his father's death.

(Good spot on 'lobotomy' being on the Arkham file - didn't see that)

  1. We never saw the front of him, at least not very clearly. So its possible he had more blood on his white clothes but just on the front. I dont even think we saw his hands since it was all from behind and engulfed in white light. And this film leaves so much up to the audience interpretation, I really like that.
